Why we exist

Games for a quiet evening, not for your wallet

Mobile Airbridge AS makes mobile entertainment: games you open for a few spins in the evening and close again without having been asked for anything — no account, no payment screen, no advert between rounds.

Roulette suits that idea well. Its maths is public and simple, so the only way to do it properly is to let the wheel behave like a wheel. In Lucky8 the number is read from where a simulated ball comes to rest, and the Odds page lists every bet with its payout, the numbers it covers and its chance of winning.

The currency is Shards, and they are play money. There is nothing to buy and nothing to cash out. The app does not even request network access, so everything it remembers stays on your phone.

One zero, thirty-seven pockets

Lucky8 is a free social roulette game at a single-zero European wheel. Zero is the only green pocket; there is no double zero. The pockets run in the real European order, and the number is read from where the ball stops.

The wheel, the full horizontal layout, the chip rack and the Spin button share one portrait screen, so every bet is one tap away. Chips come in 5, 10, 50, 100 and 500, with Clear, Undo, Rebet and Double beside them.

Achievements

The spin

The ball decides — nothing else

The number is not picked first and animated afterwards. Lucky8 runs a physical model of the wheel and the ball, and reads the result from the pocket the ball finally rests in.

    The flick

    Swipe along the track or press Spin. The strength of the flick sets how fast the ball starts. Too weak, and it is a No Spin: the ball rolls back and your chips stay where they are.

  2. 2

    The track

    The ball runs against the outer wall with rolling friction and air drag, while the rotor turns the other way at its own fresh random speed and angle on every spin.

  3. 3

    The drop

    When it is too slow to hold the wall, the ball spirals down the cone, where it can strike one of the eight brass diamonds and be deflected.

  4. 4

    The frets

    On the spinning rotor it bounces between the frets until it comes to rest. That pocket is the number — the dolly drops, winning spots glow and payouts slide in.

Before release the physics was run for 100 000 simulated spins with random flicks: every pocket came up within 5 % of its fair 1-in-37 share, and the strength of the flick did not steer the result.

These are the same bets, payouts and chances the app shows on its Odds page. A straight pays 35 to 1 on a wheel with 37 pockets; the one missing unit is the house edge of 1/37 — 2.70 % — and it is the same on every bet on the table.

Table rules

  • Single zero, no double zero. When the ball lands on 0, every outside bet loses — there is no la partage.
  • The table minimum is 10 Shards per spin. The maximum per spot and per spin rises with your Lodge rank.
  • Clear, Undo, Rebet and Double sit beside the chip rack, so a layout can be rebuilt or doubled in one tap.
  • All amounts are play-money Shards. Nothing converts into money or prizes.

The Hearth Gift

Once per calendar day the Lodge hands out free Shards — from 500 as a Snow Guest up to 2 500 as a Polar Legend. Once claimed, a countdown shows the time to the next one.

When the hearth goes cold

If your Shards fall below the table minimum of 10, the Cold Hearth screen appears. The way back is free: the daily Hearth Gift and any achievement rewards still waiting. There is no shop and no top-up.

Questions

Is this real-money gambling?

No. Lucky8 is a social casino game that simulates roulette with play money. Shards are virtual, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or cashed out, and have no value outside the app. There is no payment component in the app at all.

Can I win real money or prizes?

No. The only thing you can win is more play-money Shards, and they only go back onto the same felt. Practice or success at social casino gaming does not imply future success at real-money gambling.

Who is it for?

Adults only — 18 and over. The game depicts roulette and simulates gambling, so it is not intended for children.

Does it work offline?

It never needs a connection. The app does not request the internet permission, so it cannot talk to a server, show advertising or run analytics. Your Shards, rank and Ledger are stored on the phone.

Can a well-timed flick aim for a number?

No. The flick only sets how fast the ball starts. The rotor gets a fresh random starting angle and speed on every spin, and the diamonds and frets scatter the ball on the way down, so timing cannot target a pocket.
